2013 Awareness Film – Get Connected

There is one question that we all get asked a lot. How are you? How are you? HOW are you? And we all seem to answer the same. I’m fine. I’m fine. I’m fine. But are you? There is always that answer that we don’t
give. Things you don’t say.
Things we are secretly worried about. Bits of ourselves that we hide away. The only time I feel good is when I’m drunk. The cuts on my hand weren’t from the cat. Staying in the close feels easier than breaking my mum’s heart. I feel like I don’t fit anywhere. I lost my virginity to someone I didn’t know. I don’t know how not to be lonely. I only feel pretty when I’m hungry. I said stop and he didn’t. All of us have secrets. Problems we talk away. Worries we carry with us. As we pretend everything is okay. But the thing about secrets is… A secret hurts more when you pretend it doesn’t. You don’t have to pretend to be okay. It’s okay not to be.
And it’s okay to ask for help. Get connected give free help to in anyone
