[ Music ]>>I’m really looking
forward to — [laughs] this sounds cheesy —
but I’m really looking forward to getting my credential
and starting to teach. I don’t really have
any big break plans. I plan to go right
into the credential and master’s program and teach. So I’m excited about that.>>Following a passion to
teach disadvantaged children. Children coming from homes
that are lacking in resources. Who struggle because of
learning disabilities or language barriers. Or children who have been taught
that learning is not important, or something they
are not capable of. [ Music ]>>When I found out
that I had won it, I was shocked and really happy. It’s a great thing to be able
to talk to my kids about. Classes here have
been really great. A lot of them have
really prepared me for entering the
field of teaching. Been very applicable
to what I want to do, and the teachers have been
really great at encouraging me in my classes, and
providing opportunities to get to know what programs there are for after my bachelor’s
degree [background applause]. When it is time to
get my credential. [ Music ]
